Our Story

In Loving Memory of Ryan Murray

Ryan Murray was more than just the founder of Red Canyon Cafe—he was the heart of the downtown Eagle community. Originally from San Diego, California, Ryan made Gypsum his home, where he built a life filled with love alongside his wife and three sons.

In 2006, Ryan opened Red Canyon Cafe with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a welcoming space where friends, neighbors, and visitors could gather over great food and coffee. His passion for service, warm personality, and dedication to the community quickly made the cafe a local favorite.

Beyond the cafe, Ryan found joy in fishing, spending time with his pets, and embracing the beauty of Colorado’s outdoors. Even in his battle with cancer, he remained grateful for the love and support of those around him, always putting family and community first.

Ryan’s legacy lives on through Red Canyon Cafe, a place that continues to reflect his kindness, hard work, and passion for bringing people together. We are honored to carry forward the dream he built and to keep his memory alive in every cup poured and every conversation shared.

Thank you, Ryan, for everything. You are forever in our hearts.
